Amin Maredia has served as a member of our board of directors since February 2016 and is former chief executive officer of the company. Amin was the chief financial officer of Sprouts from 2011-15.
Prior to joining Sprouts, Amin served in key strategic and finance roles for Burger King Corporation, one of the world’s largest fast-food retailers, including vice president of North America and Latin America finance from 2009-10, vice president of strategic planning and treasurer from 2006-09, and assistant controller from 2005-06. Before joining Burger King, Amin served as assistant treasurer and controller for Dynegy, Inc., an energy producer and wholesaler, from 2002-05.
By emphasizing strategic investment and financial discipline, he has deftly managed global Fortune 100 and private equity-backed companies through difficult periods, including the economic downturn. He also has significant mergers and acquisitions experience. Amin began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers in 1994. He is a Certified Public Accountant, a graduate of the Harvard Business School General Management Program and holds an undergraduate degree in accounting from the University of Houston.
