Chief Customer Officer
Shawn Gensch, our chief customer officer, leads Sprouts’ marketing strategy, customer research and insights, digital, creative services, ad production and communications designed to inspire and engage consumers and showcase the company’s healthy products and great value. Shawn joined Sprouts as chief marketing officer in June 2015 and has more than 25 years’ experience in marketing and finance with executive roles in both the retail and financial services industries.
Prior to Sprouts, Shawn served as co-founder and chief executive officer of a start-up consumer loyalty company. Earlier, Shawn served as Target’s senior vice president of marketing, responsible for brand marketing, media, loyalty and public relations. He also served as president of Target Bank and led financial product development for the company. Previously, he was president and chief executive officer of Conseco Bank.
Shawn holds a B.S. in Accounting from Wisconsin-Eau Claire and serves on the board of directors for GWG Holdings, Inc. and Anser Innovation LLC., and on the advisory boards for the Musical Instrument Museum and one·n·ten, both based in Phoenix, Ariz.
