For more than 150 years, General Mills has been “making food with passion and treating the world with care.” In true commitment to these founding principles, General Mills’ generosity can be seen in communities around the globe.
Since 1977, the company has partnered with Feeding America, an organization that supports more than 200 food banks, spanning all 50 U.S. states. In 2016 alone, General Mills donated more than 41 million meals through the Feeding America partnership. Internationally, the company helps address food insecurity by partnering with food banks in more than 32 countries through the Global Foodbanking Network. General Mills also supports their hometown communities of Minneapolis, Minnesota and Buffalo, New York, working with nonprofits to eliminate food deserts and to help create a more equitable community food system.
