Ocean Mist Farms, the largest artichoke producer in the United States, has been growing vegetables for more than 90 years. A leader in the Salinas and Coachella Valley agricultural communities, Ocean Mist Farms is a strong believer in helping people live healthier lives. They donate annually to the California Association of Food Banks and the Ag Against Hunger organization, as well as the Castroville Artichoke Food & Wine Festival, where they raise funds for local nonprofits. Through these partnerships and others, Ocean Mist Farms has donated nearly 12 million pounds of fresh produce over the past 20 years.
As part of their outreach, Ocean Mist Farms also proudly supports getting fresh fruits and vegetables into school meals. By partnering with the United Fresh Produce Association, Tour de Fresh, and the Grower Shipper Association of California, they fund the placement of salad bars in schools across the country. Ocean Mist Farms further promotes youth development by awarding educational scholarships to high school seniors, encouraging higher learning, teamwork, and responsibility in our future leaders.
