Tanimura & Antle

Foundation Donor/Partner Since 2017

The Tanimura and Antle families began working together long before they launched their business in 1982, growing lettuce, onions, broccoli, and a variety of other vegetables. From the beginning, the founders committed to using sustainable economic, environmental, and social practices in the production and distribution of their produce. Over the years, the company has remained true to these values, adopting agricultural techniques, like hydroponic farming, to conserve natural resources and reduce pesticide use.

Tanimura & Antle works hard to promote the health of their employees and community, too. In 2016, the company opened their Agricultural Employee Housing units, offering clean, safe, and affordable housing to hundreds of seasonal employees. Each year, Tanimura & Antle donates to nonprofit organizations supporting youth development, social services, and produce accessibility, with past recipients including Ag Against Hunger, Salad Bars to Schools, and Produce for Better Health. Tanimura & Antle also gives back during the holiday season, teaming up with the Salinas Valley Salvation Army to donate fresh produce to families in need.
