Tyson Foods

Foundation Donor/Partner Since 2018

Founded in 1935, Tyson Foods is a global leader in protein, with the mission of pursuing truth and integrity in food production. In the past 15 years, the company has donated more than 100 million pounds of food to hunger relief programs and has pledged to donate and additional $50 million in cash and in-kind products by 2020. Since 2012, Tyson has also spearheaded food distribution programs in communities hit by devastating storms, serving up to 20,000 meals a day in affected areas.

In addition to these programs, Tyson Foods offers grants to nonprofits working to increase the availability of low-income housing, to promote local economic development, and to support educators in grades K-12, among a variety of other causes. A standout grant recipient is the Little Free Pantry, funded in 2017. With a $50,000 investment from Tyson Foods, the Little Free Pantry, which provides food and other shelf-stable products to people in need, has grown from its founding location in Fayetteville, Arkansas, to hundreds of locations across the country, impacting thousands of lives.
