Vega was founded in 2001 by professional triathlete, Brendan Brazier. After searching for an all-in-one nutritional product to support his training, and having no luck, Brazier set out to fill this void. With a focus on clean, plant-based ingredients, the company’s first product – Whole Food Health Optimizer – was introduced. Nearly twenty years later, Vega now offers a variety of plant-based products, including bars, supplements, and protein powders, helping people stay fit, healthy, and feeling great.

As a certified B Corporation, Vega is committed to reducing waste in the supply chain, lowering emissions, and improving sustainability efforts. Since 2013, the company has also donated more than 1.2 million pounds of their nutritional products to food banks across the US and Canada.

Vega’s employees are equally passionate about helping in their community, and they can regularly be found participating in various volunteer initiatives. The company also maintains ongoing relationships with nonprofits including One Tree Planted which encourages biodiversity and restoration efforts, the Happy Herd Farm, protecting abused animals, and Shoreline Cleanup, the largest direct-action conservation program in Canada.
