Sprouts Farmers Market Announces New Tucson Location Opening October 28

Celebrations Include Store Discounts, Vendor Sampling, Prizes, Games and More!

PHOENIX – Sprouts Farmers Market is excited to announce it will open its newest store located at 4800 S. Landing Way in Tucson on October 28. A ribbon cutting will take place Friday morning at 6:45 a.m. The doors to the store will open at 7 a.m.

Grand Opening Weekend Events:

From Friday, October 28 through Sunday, October 30, customers who text “TUCSON” to 777-688 will receive 20% off their purchase when they scan their account barcode at checkout. Through the app, shoppers can view the Sprouts’ weekly ad and save more than $100 with digital coupons on grocery staples and new items every month.

Throughout the weekend guests will be treated to samples from pioneering brands at the Vendor Village, kids games, live music and more. On Friday, complimentary coffee from Arizona-based PRESS Coffee and pastries from Sprouts will be served from 7:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. A smoothie bar will be set up with samples from 7:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Plus samples from Cheri’s Desert Harvest and Wholsum farms. Also, beginning at 7:00 a.m. on Friday the first 200 shoppers will receive a reusable goodie bag filled with product samples from featured brands. On Saturday, a kids’ sampling activity will be available, a create your own trail mix bar will be on hand and a gift with purchase will be offered. Sunday, an in-store scavenger hunt and ice cream social will offer guests fun in the new location.

The Tucson community can look forward to seeing locally produced products line the shelves including fresh fruits and vegetables from Martori Farms, Pacific Organic, Pinto Creek Ranches and more. As part of the grand opening celebration, the Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation is awarding $100,000 to the Community and School Garden Program at University of Arizona, which supports over 60 school gardens throughout Tucson. During the opening weekend, students from local elementary schools will be passing out free starter kale, Swiss chard and marigold plants that were grown at their schools’ greenhouse locations with help from Sprouts.

Additionally, through Sprouts’ Food Rescue program, the new store will donate groceries that are no longer fit for sale but remain perfectly edible and nutrient rich to Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona.
