Sprouts Farmers Market Announces New Rancho Cordova Location Opening Nov. 11

Celebrations Include Store Discounts, Vendor Sampling, Prizes, Games and More!

PHOENIXSprouts Farmers Market is excited to announce it will open its newest store located at 10846 Bear Hollow Dr. in Rancho Cordova on Nov. 11. A ribbon cutting will take place Friday morning at 6:45 a.m. The doors to the store will open at 7 a.m.

“We are thrilled to welcome Sprouts to Rancho Cordova’s new Stone Creek Village shopping center,” said City of Rancho Cordova Mayor Donald Terry. “Sprouts’ well-known reputation for being both a grocery store that specializes in fresh, local produce and that has a passion for being involved in their communities makes them a great new business and community partner in our city.”

Grand Opening Weekend Events:

From Friday, Nov. 11 through Sunday, Nov. 13 customers who text “RANCHO” to 777-688 will receive 20% off their purchase when they scan their account barcode at checkout. Through the app, shoppers can view the Sprouts’ weekly ad and save more than $100 with digital coupons on grocery staples and new items every month.

Throughout the weekend guests will be treated to samples from pioneering brands at the Vendor Village, kids games, face painting, live music and more. Beginning at 7 a.m. on Friday the first 250 shoppers will receive a reusable bag filled with product samples from featured brands. On Saturday, the first 200 shoppers will receive a golden envelop with coupons inside. Daily caramel apple charcuterie demo from Mo Cheese Pleasee and samplings will be available. A special FREE craft to make a natural bird feeder kit will also be offered plus an ice cream social on Sunday, prizes and more will add to the celebration.

The Rancho Cordova community can look forward to seeing locally produced products line the shelves including fresh fruits and vegetables from Capay Organics Farm, George Perry and Sons and Gotham Greens and more. As part of the grand opening celebration, the Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation is awarding $50,000 to the Soil Born Farms, a local nonprofit farm that promotes urban agriculture, sustainable food systems and healthy food education. Since 2017, the foundation has awarded over $300,000 to Soil Born Farms to support local school garden programming in Rancho Cordova and Sacramento.

Through Sprouts’ Food Rescue program, the new store will donate groceries that are no longer fit for sale but remain perfectly edible and nutrient rich to the Rancho Cordova Food Locker.
