PHOENIX – April 30, 2021 – Sprouts Farmers Market will open its first store in 2021 and third store in the Reno-Sparks area at 299 East Plumb Lane on Wednesday, May 12 at 7 a.m. The highly anticipated store is part of the redeveloped Reno Public Market retail center and brings 95 jobs to the community. Sprouts is known for a curated selection of healthy products, including affordable organic produce, fresh meat and seafood, immune-boosting supplements, plant-based products, and more.
To celebrate the opening, the first 200 customers will receive 20% off their total initial purchase and every shopper on opening day will receive a free reusable shopping bag. Local customers can also enter to win a $500 Sprouts gift card by visiting the Reno store location page on sprouts.com. Sprouts is open daily from 7 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Reno shoppers can shop online at shop.sprouts.com and the Sprouts app to have Sprouts groceries delivered to their door or arranged for curbside pickup. Customers get free pickup or delivery on their first order over $35.
Through Sprouts’ Food Rescue program, the new store will donate groceries that are no longer fit for sale but remain perfectly edible and nutrient rich to the Food Bank of Northern Nevada which provides emergency food services to families through a network of more than 147 partner agencies. In 2020, Sprouts donated an equivalent of approximately 23 million meals to those in need through the program.
In line with Sprouts’ focus on health, the grocer is closely following CDC and local health authority guidelines related to COVID-19, and regularly providing store team members with the latest safety guidance. Stores are also implementing steps to promote social distancing and have installed plexiglass barriers at registers as added protection for team members and customers.
