Moonlight Peaches has initiated a Class I recall on select lots of their Yellow and White Peaches due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. This recall only applies to fruit packed in California and does not include and fruit packed in Washington or any Organic fruit. Impacted peaches were shipped to Sprouts between September 16, 2025 and October 18, 2025. Customers who may have purchased affected product are urged to discard the product and not consume it. No illnesses have been reported to date.
Listeria monocytogenes is an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people and others with weakened immune systems. Although healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea, Listeria infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.
